Dr. Ravindra Surude is a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology & GI Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Ravindra Surude graduated from Grant Medical College, Mumbai and completed his MD (General Medicine) from B. J. Medical College & Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, India, followed by DM (Gastroenterology) from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. Surude is proficient in diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopic procedures with special interest in NAFLD, Hepatitis B&C, and Therapeutic Endoscopy. He has performed more than 2500 diagnostic oesophagogastroduodenoscopy and 700 colonoscopies, and more than 500 ERCPs independently. He is skilled at performing diagnostic endoscopic ultrasound procedures, providing clinical care in in-patient, out-patient and intensive care setting and various therapeutic endoscopic procedures including Variceal Ligation, Variceal injection, endoscopic dilatation with bougie and balloon, endoscopic treatment of ulcer bleeds, polypectomy, and argon plasma photocoagulation.
As an academician, Dr. Surude is a recognised PG teacher for DM (Gastroenterology) and a Faculty member in a leading tertiary care Gastroenterology Unit in India since 2013. He has undertaken 6 research projects and has authored 12 publications. As a subject expert he has presented his work at various conferences and seminars.
