Dr. Satpal Pannu is a consultant in the department of Ophthalmology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Satpal Pannu completed his M.B.B.S. from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and his M.S. (Ophthalmology) from Bombay University. He later completed his Microsurgery training from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He joined the Armed Forces and served in Indian Navy working in various Naval Hospitals as a specialist, primarily at INHS Asvini, Mumbai. He later worked as Consultant at Prince Aly Khan and Saifee Hospitals. He was last attached as a Consultant (Ophthalmology) at SevenHills Hospital for over seven years.
Dr. Satpal Pannu has a rich experience in his field and specializes in Phacoemulsification with IOL implantation and other techniques of cataract surgery. He performs other Anterior Segment Surgeries for Glaucoma, Squint, Pterygium, Lid and Lacrimal sac.
He is a recognised Postgraduate Teacher of Mumbai University from Dec 1996 as an Associate Professor and has been a guide and teacher for many successful post graduate students of M.S. (Ophthalmology). He has undertaken various research projects under the aegis of AFMRC and published and presented papers in various conferences.
He is a member of All India Ophthalmological Society, Bombay Ophthalmologists Association, Association of Medical Consultants, Bombay Medical Congress and Marine Medical Society of India.
