Bio:

Dr. Tamanna Khullar completed her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine from Government Medical College, Jammu, and earned fellowships in Cardiology from esteemed institutions in the United States, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland and Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

She began her professional career in Medicine at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, and further expanded her expertise into Critical Care and Non-invasive Cardiology at Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. She served there as an Assistant Consultant in the Department of Echocardiography for five years, gaining extensive experience managing critical patients, performing and interpreting thousands of echocardiograms and other procedures, alongside training cardiology sub-speciality and internal medicine residents.

Her dedication to the field prompted her to further hone her skills at leading hospitals in the USA, where she completed her fellowships in cardiology and echocardiography. She independently interpreted numerous complex echocardiograms using advanced modalities and received mentorship from renowned cardiologists. During her tenure, she actively participated in academics to stay abreast of the latest advances, authored and co-authored in eminent cardiology journals and presented abstracts at international conferences.

To further enhance her skills, she earned ECFMG certification and got an opportunity to remain as a visiting clinician in Echocardiography at Mayo Clinic. She worked under guidance of distinguished cardiologists interpreting complex pre and postoperative echocardiograms, including TEEs assisting procedures in Cardiac Cath Labs.

Areas of Expertise & Special Interest:

  • Her specific academic and clinical interests include cardiovascular imaging, with an emphasis on echocardiography and related cardiac procedures. These are used to diagnose and monitor patients with native and postoperative heart valve conditions, cardiomyopathies, aortic disorders, coronary artery disease, pericardial diseases, cardio-oncology, rheumatology, and infectious diseases.
  • Procedures Performed: In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Khullar interprets approximately 10,000 echocardiograms, 4,000 TMT stress tests, and significant numbers of Dobutamine stress echocardiograms, exercise echocardiograms, transoesophageal echocardiograms, and Holter analyses annually. She is also an active member of both national and international cardiology societies.
