General instructions

  • Come well rested and arrive 10–15 minutes before your appointment.
  • Fast overnight for 10–12 hours (only water allowed).
  • Avoid heavy/fatty meals or meat the night before your health check-up.
  • Avoid alcohol and nicotine at least 24 hours before the check-up.
  • Avoid exercise on the morning of your check-up.
  • Thyroid medication may be taken as usual in the morning.
  • For blood pressure medicines, especially beta-blockers, confirm with your doctor whether they should be taken or avoided on the day of the check-up.
  • If you are on diabetes medication, carry your morning dose and take it only after your blood sample is collected. Inform the service coordinator on arrival.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and footwear; avoid jewellery and valuables. The hospital cannot be responsible for loss or misplacement of personal belongings.
  • Bring current medications and valid Govt. ID (Aadhar/Passport).
  • Bring medical records/reports from the last 2 years (if available).
  • Clean ear wax if Audiometry is included.
  • Corporate clients: bring valid authorisation/credit letter.

Appointments & Billing

  • We recommend patients make a prior appointment for their health check-up.
  • We request that you be on time so that all the tests can be completed without delay.
  • Guests reporting one hour or more later may experience delays or require rescheduling.
  • For cancellation/postponement, inform us at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Additional investigations/consultations are subject to appointment availability and will be billed separately at a discounted rate if booked on the day of the check-up.
  • Home sample collection is available at selected locations. Please contact us to schedule.

Specific Test Preparations

  • Eye check-up: Do not wear contact lens for at least 24 hours prior to the check-up; use spectacles instead.
  • Spirometry: Please avoid smoking for 12 hours prior to the check-up and avoid using inhalers on the day of check-up.
  • Pap Smear Test (for females): Cannot be done during menses (periods).
  • Stress Test (for males): Shave the chest before the check-up
  • Sonography of Pelvis: Drink at least 2 litres of water before the test to ensure a full bladder. You may be asked to drink more water and wait if the bladder is not adequately full.
  • Dexa / Bone Densitometry: Avoid Calcium and Multivitamin tablets 24 hours prior to the day of test.
  • MRI: If you have had prior surgery/metallic implants (e.g. rods and screws, pacemakers, cochlear implants etc.), please inform the health check-up executive at the time of appointment booking. Bring previous reports, if available.
  • Urine and Stool test: Collect your morning urine and stool sample on the day of your Health Check-up and bring it along. You can collect the containers for the same from the Centre for Well-being & Longevity on Level 2, Tower building in advance, as per your convenience.
  • For Home-Based Sleep Study: Kindly wash your hair prior to the study and avoid applying any gel, oil, or cream. Please refrain from taking naps during the day. Please inform us of your usual sleep and wake-up times, as the technician will arrive approximately 30 minutes before your bedtime to set up the study and will return the following morning based on your wake-up time.

Special Instructions For Women

  • Book between 10th – 14th day of menstrual cycle.
  • If menstruating on the day, inform nurses — Urine, Stool & PAP Smear will be rescheduled.
  • If pregnant or suspecting pregnancy, inform us in advance — No X-ray, Mammography, DEXA or TMT.
  • Mammography is advised for women 40+ years or as per physician advice.
  • If Mammography is included in your package, it's advised not to use talcum powder or perfumes.

Other Instructions

  • Ophthalmology screening consultation included in package entails:
    • Detailed medical past history with current complaints
    • Vision check with & without glasses (distant vision)
    • Near vision check
    • Colour vision check
    • Intra Ocular Pressure (IOP)
      NOTE: All above pre-test are conducted by the optometrist
    • Doctor checks on slit lamp (anterior segment & posterior segment – un-dilated retina & for cataract). If you wish to conduct detailed eye check-up, kindly inform the health check-up team in advance. Detailed eye check, if required beyond what is mentioned above can be availed at an additional charge.
  • Ultrasonography of Pelvis for females involves Transvaginal Sonography for the complete examination of the pelvic organs. If you are not comfortable with this, kindly inform the Health Check-up executives.
  • VO2 MAX TEST
    • Understanding Your Cardiovascular Fitness: The VO2 Max Test is a test designed to evaluate your cardiovascular fitness and endurance capacity. Whether you are highly active, moderately fit, or just beginning your wellness journey, this test offers valuable insights into how efficiently your body utilizes oxygen during peak exertion.
    • What the Test Involves: This is a maximal exercise test, conducted under expert medical supervision. You will walk, jog, or run on a treadmill with gradually increasing speed and incline, following a protocol customized by your doctor, until you reach your maximum level of exertion.
    • Duration of the Test:
      • Active exercise time: Typically ranges from 6 to 20 minutes, depending on your fitness level
      • Total appointment time: Approximately 45 minutes, including preparation, instructions, monitoring, recovery, and post-test discussion
    • Preparing for Accurate Results 

      For the most reliable and meaningful outcomes, it is important that your body is well-rested:

      • Avoid the test if you are fatigued or sleep-deprived.
      • Refrain from intense physical activity for 48 hours prior to test
      • Maintain only light to moderate activity for at least 12 hours before the test
    • Meal & Clothing Guidelines
      • Do not undergo the test immediately after meals; allow a gap of 1–2 hours, depending on meal size
      • Wear comfortable exercise clothing and sports shoes for ease and safety during the test
    • Medical Considerations
      • Individuals with moderate to high cardiac risk are advised to have relevant cardiac evaluation reports checked prior to scheduling the test to ensure safe and optimal testing
      • The test is best performed when you are free from acute lower body orthopaedic concerns, to prevent discomfort or further injury
    • Why It Matters

       By pushing your body to its peak in a controlled environment, the VO2 Max Test provides deep insights into your endurance, cardiovascular capacity, and overall fitness, helping you make informed decisions about your lifestyle, training, and long-term well-being.

  • The physician consultation will be based on the information given on the Health Questionnaire and the blood & diagnostic investigations done on the day of the health check-up. Some reports may be in provisional state by the time you get ready for your physician consultation. However, if you have any specific concerns / questions to be discussed with the physician, please ask the same.
  • The consultations included in health check-up are for screening and identifying any speciality specific risk factors.
  • All packages take 6 to 7 hours for completion of all investigations. Our effort will be towards completion of the packages earlier than the mentioned time frame.
  • No refund / package inclusion changes can be given for any test / consultation not performed due to medical reasons or personal choice for any health check-up package.
  • Specialist doctor consultations will be aligned once reports are ready.
  • Rescheduling & missed tests: Please give at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations/changes. Incomplete tests will be rescheduled within 7 working days.
  • For international patients, a 30% surcharge on hospital rates will be applicable.
