Dr. Abhishek Mangeshikar is a nationally recognized gynaecologic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery, robotic gynaecologic procedures, advanced endometriosis surgery, and pelvic neurosurgery. He is widely known for treating complex gynaecological conditions while preserving organ function, fertility, and quality of life.
His surgical philosophy emphasizes a function-preserving, nerve-sparing approach, aiming to completely remove disease while protecting critical pelvic nerves, reproductive organs, bladder, and bowel whenever clinically possible. This approach helps relieve chronic pelvic pain while minimizing the risk of long-term bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Mangeshikar completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery and Robotic Surgery at the prestigious Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. He further specialized in advanced endometriosis surgery at Clinique Tivoli-Ducos, Bordeaux, France, under the mentorship of internationally renowned endometriosis surgeon Professor Horace Roman.
He is the Founder and Director of the Indian Centre for Endometriosis, the first and largest dedicated endometriosis center in Asia. His contributions to research and education include multiple national and international publications focused on advanced endometriosis management and minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery.
Having successfully performed over 5,000 laparoscopic surgeries and approximately 650 robotic procedures, Dr. Mangeshikar is regarded as one of the leading experts in complex gynaecologic surgery and robotic surgery in India.
