Bio:

Dr. Ajanta Narvekar is a Consultant Gynaecologist & Fertility Specialist at the Well Women Centre at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. 

She specialises in treatment of infertility by all modalities including microsurgery, endoscopic surgery, IVF, and its allied assisted reproduction procedures. 

Professional achievements and milestones: 

  • First trained Gynaecological Microsurgeon in India
  • Pioneered one of the first four IVF centres in India in 1989
  • Witnessed the birth of the first IVF baby in India in 1989
  • Witnessed the birth of the first IVF babies with Egg Donation in 1990
  • Witnessed the birth of the first ICSI babies in 1997
  • Has managed > 5000 pregnancies till date with fertility treatment 

Dr. Narvekar is trained in all aspects of infertility treatment and believes in tailoring the treatment of infertility based on the patient needs. She has authored several papers on infertility treatment.
