Bio:

Dr. Kaiomarz Balsara is a Consultant in the Department of General and Minimal Access Surgery at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He completed his M.S. from B. J. Medical College, Pune. He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS), FIAGES, and has completed a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS). He has also completed fellowships in Surgical Gastroenterology from St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, Australia, and Advanced Laparoscopic Training from Wesley Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. He has also received laparoscopic training in colorectal surgery from Wesley Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.

Dr. Balsara has over 16 years of experience in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery. During his initial years of practice, he served as a Resident Surgeon at Sir H. N. Hospital. He has been practising as a Consultant in Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery since 1998.

Dr. Balsara is a reputed teacher for DNB - General Surgery and DNB - GI Surgery. He is also the Founding Joint Secretary of IAGES.

Dr. Balsara is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Minimal Access Surgery. He has authored over 30 publications in indexed national and international journals and has conducted 11 workshops in laparoscopic surgery.
