Dr. Rama Vaidyanathan is a highly experienced Voice Therapist in the Department of ENT, with over three decades of expertise in voice care, therapy, and training. She holds a B.Sc. in Audiology and Speech Therapy and an M.A. in Linguistics, and has further advanced her skills through a Fellowship in Voice Therapy under Dr. James Thomas, USA (2015).
With a distinguished career spanning hospital, clinics, private practice, acting schools, and music institutions, Dr. Rama has worked extensively with a wide spectrum of patients, including professional voice users such as actors, singers, teachers, and lawyers. She has successfully integrated voice therapy with preventive voice training and coaching, helping individuals optimise vocal performance while preventing voice-related disorders.
A recognised name in the field, she is the author of the book Discover Your Voice (HarperCollins, 2016). Being a trained singer herself, she brings a unique blend of art and science to her practice. She has also developed specialised programmes such as “Voice Gym” for the Shankar Mahadevan Academy of Music, focusing on strengthening and enhancing vocal capabilities.
