Dr. Sandeep Pophale is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 18 years of experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, reproductive medicine, and high-risk pregnancy care.
He completed his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the prestigious Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. He subsequently served as a Tutor at B.Y.L. Nair Hospital before joining Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College (Sion Hospital), where he worked as an Assistant Professor for six years.
Dr. Pophale later returned to Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, where he served in senior academic roles including Associate Professor and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for nine years. His extensive academic and clinical experience has involved the management of a broad spectrum of routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
He has advanced training in gynaecological endoscopic surgery and assisted reproductive technology, including ICSI, and is also trained in robotic surgery. His clinical interests include minimally invasive gynaecological procedures, fertility and reproductive medicine, high-risk pregnancies, and the management of obstetric emergencies.
