Dr. Rithin Rathnakar is Consultant Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. He completed his graduation from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He did his Master of Surgery degree from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and MCh Cardiac Surgery from GB Pant Hospital, MAMC, New Delhi.

He has an experience of 14 years in the field of Cardiac Surgery, including 9 years as a Senior Consultant.

He has done two further fellowships in Advanced Cardiac Surgery and in Thoracic Organ Transplant (Heart, Lungs, and VADs) from the Greenlane Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit at Auckland City Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand.

His areas of special interest and expertise include:

Orthotopic heart transplant, Bilateral Lung Transplant, and Mechanical circulatory support devices
Total Arterial Grafting for CABG
Mitral valve repairs
