Dr. Srikant Gharpure is a Consultant at the Laboratory Medicine department of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
He completed his MD and DPB with distinction in Microbiology & PSM. Following this, he went on to successfully accomplish the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pathology from the University of London.
In his rich experience spanning 23 years in the field of Pathology, Dr. Gharpure has served in the capacity of Head of Clinical Pathology at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. Prior to this, he was the Vice President of Metropolis Health Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. and was in-charge of setting-up and monitoring new laboratories in both, International and Domestic market. He played a pivotal role in supervising the entire spectrum of lab investigations at their main laboratory in Mumbai besides being in-charge of Clinical Trials department for a brief period.
During his tenure as a Senior Consultant with MDI Laboratories India Pvt Ltd. (a subsidy of Medizinisch Diagnostische Institute, Berlin, Germany), Dr. Gharpure took charge of the responsibility for planning and commissioning laboratory operations in India. He has also set-up a state-of-the-art laboratory at Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai and managed all-India operations there.
