Dr. Atul Ursekar is a Consultant in the department of Ophthalmology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing MBBS, Dr. Ursekar pursued D.O.M.S. and M.S. (Ophthalmology) at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. He also completed F.C.P.S. and DNB. Then, he pursued vitreoretinal fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation, Chennai and fellowship in Retinal Service at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, New York, USA.
Dr. Ursekar has a rich experience of 26 years in the field of Ophthalmology. In addition to his association with our hospital, he is also a Consultant at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre and Masina Hospital in Mumbai. Prior, he worked as a Consultant at Wockhardt Hospital, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Asian Heart Institute, and Motiben Dalvi Hospital in Mumbai.
Dr. Ursekar has participated in various national and international research studies. He has published many peer-reviewed papers in national journals. He has also taken scientific lectures on various topics in Ophthalmology at different national conferences. He is registered as an eligible teacher for Ophthalmology residents for the Diplomate of National Board Examination at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai. He is a professional member of Indian Medical Association, All India Ophthalmological Society, Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society, Bombay Ophthalmologists Association, Vitreoretinal Society India, Indian Intraocular Implant Society, Association of Medical Consultants, and Delhi Ophthalmological Society.
