Dr. Prabha Yadav is Head, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Prabha Yadav completed her MBBS in 1977 and MS ( Plastic Surgery ) in 1982 from University of Bombay. She got trained in microvascular surgery in 1988 under Prof Georgio Brunnelli at Brescia, Italy – an scholarship awarded by Italian Government.
She was Associate Professor in Department of Plastic Surgery at Grant Medical College, J J Hospital, Mumbai, till 2005. From 2005 Dr. Prabha Yadav had been Head, Plastic and Reconstructive Microvascular Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai till July 2018. She also held position of Head , Department of Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. Prabha Yadav has been actively involved in teaching post graduates over last 37 years . She has conducted number of workshops and meetings and developed fellowship programmes for Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons to master microvascular surgery practice in country. Having trained over 150 Reconstructive Microvascular surgeons in India and neighbouring countries she is instrumental for current Reconstructive Microvascular surgery in India.
Dr. Prabha Yadav held prestigious position of “ President of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India” in 2015 and conducted a very successful Golden Jubilee Conference of the association in the same year !
She has participated in many national and international meetings and workshops as invited faculty for lectures and operative demonstrations. She has good number of publications as journal articles and authored book chapters. Also to her name, there’s a book titled “Mastering Cancer Reconstructive Surgery with Free Flaps”- putting vast experience after completing 5000 microvascular free flap reconstructions for benefit of others.
Dr Prabha Yadav, was honoured and felicitated as 'pioneer lady microsurgeon from Asian continent' at the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery conference 2022 forum at Cancum, Mexico.
