Day-care surgery also known as ambulatory surgery, day surgery or same-day surgery, is surgery that does not require an overnight hospital stay. Patients may enter and leave the facility on the same day.
Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre's Day Care Centre is a 40-bed facility offering Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Endoscopy, Lithotripsy, Bronchoscopy, Cystoscopy, Sleep Studies and other Day-care Surgeries.
Advantage of Day-care surgeries to patients
Patient can have surgery and home to recover in the comforts of their own home, without staying in hospital for a long time.
The patients will be directly admitted, treated and discharged from the 4th Floor, Day Care Centre, hence saving them time from cumbersome queues.
The Dialysis unit at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre has 14 patient beds. It is located in the South Wing on 4th Floor, Tower and is operational 24X7, all days of the year. The Dialysis will be performed for patients based on scheduled appointments. Private bays have been provisioned along with the open bays, for patients with added privacy during the procedure. Isolation bays have been provided for patients with a known history of transmissible infections
The Chemotherapy unit at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre has 11 patient beds. It is located in the South Wing on 4th Floor, Tower and is operational from 8am to 10pm.The Chemotherapy procedure will be performed based on scheduled appointments. A satellite pharmacy has been provisioned for compounding of the infusions on the same floor. Similar to the Dialysis unit, the structure of open, private and isolation bays has been maintained.
Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre has a 19 bed unit for ambulatory procedures ( Day-care procedure ) We have dedicated 7 procedure rooms on the same floor to perform Endoscopy, Lithotripsy, Bronchoscopy and Cystoscopy.
