Dr Hitesh Mehta is a Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon and Minimal Access Surgeon with the General Surgery department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Post his MBBS and MS in General Surgery, Dr Mehta accomplished Fellowship in Liver transplantation from South Korea. He has received special training in liver transplantation, both cadaveric and living donor transplants.
Dr Mehta’s vast experience in gastro-intestinal surgery spans 26 years. He is experienced in performing complicated GI surgeries including gastrointestinal, hepato-biliary and pancreatic cancer surgery. He has performed thousands of laparoscopic operations. Earlier, he has worked as a Consultant at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr Mehta also has 10 years of teaching experience. He is a teacher in DNB Gastro-intestinal Surgery at Lilavati hospital and has trained numerous surgeons in GI Surgery and endoscopy. He was an Associate Professor in B.Y. L. Nair Hospital prior to 1996.
