Dr. Arti Pawaria is the Chief Pediatric Hepatologist and Transplant Physician at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. She is among the few and the first woman in India to receive formal super-specialty training in Pediatric Hepatology, with qualifications from premier institutions like ILBS, New Delhi, and SGPGIMS, Lucknow.
She brings more than 16 years of dedicated clinical experience and has led pediatric liver care services at leading tertiary centers including Global Hospital, Mumbai, and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad. Her areas of expertise include pediatric liver failure, metabolic liver diseases, acute-on-chronic liver disease, advanced liver support therapies, and pediatric liver transplantation.
Dr. Pawaria pioneered India’s first Tele-Liver Care model for children in North India, improving access to specialized care in remote areas. She has also developed multidisciplinary, disease-specific specialty clinics and support groups for Wilson Disease, Biliary Atresia, and pediatric liver transplant recipients—offering integrated care including nutrition, psychological support, transplant education, and family counselling.
She holds leadership positions in international organizations such as ILTS and SPLIT, and collaborates with global research institutions including the University of Toronto and University of Groningen. Her work has been recognized through numerous international awards, and she serves on editorial boards contributing to pediatric liver and nutrition science.
