Dr. Master began his journey in homeopathy in 1976, giving up a career in conventional medicine to join Bombay Homeopathic Medical College. He graduated with top honors in 1979, securing first class in all subjects and winning the most prestigious gold and silver medals. Recognized by the Governor of Maharashtra for his academic brilliance, Dr. Master soon began teaching at his alma mater while simultaneously working as House Physician and later as Administrative Medical Officer. His dedication to both teaching and clinical service earned him rapid respect, and he was appointed Professor of Medicine at just 29 years of age.
A significant part of Dr. Master’s work has been his pioneering role in integrating homeopathy into allopathic institutions. At a time when homeopathy was largely seen as separate from mainstream medicine, Dr. Master led efforts to bring homeopathic treatment to large allopathic hospitals. He played an instrumental role in establishing homeopathy outpatient departments at Bombay Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital (Mumbai and Pune), Parsee General Hospital, Nowrosjee and Jerbai Wadia Hospitals, and the Kamalnayan Bajaj Cancer Centre at Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. His work helped thousands of patients access complementary treatment for complex conditions, especially cancer and neurological diseases, in settings where they could also receive conventional care.
Dr. Master was the first in India to obtain an M.D. in Homeopathy (1994) and among the first to earn a Ph.D. in Cancer Management using Homeopathy. He introduced innovative approaches in managing cancer, combining homeopathy with Iscador therapy to relieve pain, control hemorrhage, and improve quality of life in terminally ill patients. His protocols for cerebrovascular accidents, including thrombosis, infarcts, embolism, and subarachnoid hemorrhage, opened new avenues for homeopathy in neurological care.
Another major dimension of Dr. Master’s work is his global educational outreach. Since 1985, he has conducted seminars and training in over 40 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Russia, Japan, and Australia.
