After completing her MBBS in 1995 and MD in 1999 from Mumbai University, Dr. Shah pursued a DNB (Psychiatry Medicine) under the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 1999.
Dr. Sharita Worked as a Lecturer at various teaching Hospitals in Mumbai for almost 4 years. Her keen interest in Child Psychiatry led her to pursue a Clinical Fellowship in Infant/ Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Reproductive Psychiatry at various hospitals at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
She has gained a rich clinical experience by training, working and teaching at various Hospitals and was also involved in Clinical Research. She has also worked at many prominent hospitals in Mumbai.
She has Co-Authored and Edited a Book ‘A Guide for Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Early Psychosis and Substance Use Disorders or Physicians, families and Individuals for Mheccu, The Ministry of Health, University of British Columbia, Canada She has also been the recipient of two Young Psychiatrist Awards at the International level She has delivered numerous lectures, conducted workshops and chaired sessions at Regional, National and International Conferences.
