STROKE SUPPORT GROUP- Key to a Successful Recovery!

In recent times, there has been an alarming increase in the incidence of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD); although its a disease frequently observed in the western countries, with changes in lifestyle & rising affluence, the incidence is increasing in India & is expected to only increase further.

End stage liver disease secondary to NASH & NAFLD cirrhosis is a natural progression & consequence of uncontrolled NAFLD & obesity. NAFLD & NASH cirrhosis are a precursor to development of liver cancer- Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC).

To highlight & discuss these issues, a two day meeting on NAFLD & its sequela is organized at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in collaboration with the Department of Radiology- Massachusets General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School.
