Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital had the privilege of hosting the 18th annual conference of the Paediatric Cardiac Society of India on 26th October 2017.

The pre-conference interventional workshop schedule of the conference was held at the convention centre of the hospital while the main conference was held from 27th-29th October 2017 in Grand Hyatt, Santacruz- Mumbai.

The conference highlight included live workshops for clinical benefits and ethical dilemmas. Interventions/surgery in pulmonary artery hypertension, pericardial valved conduits, bifurcation stenosis-plasty V/S stenting, transportation of the great arteries/intact septum-how late is too late for arterial switch surgery- were the other key highlights of the PCSI 2017.

"…..scientific content of this conference was kept with the theme 'stay connected'. We would like to stay connected with the ground realities of this country, that is, not only the structural cardiac interventions or the surgeries which are required. It is also socio-economic preparation which is necessary for conducting these procedures while delivering outcomes that the western world or the developed world is giving," said Dr. Shivaprakash, the Organising Joint Secretary, PCSI 2017.

Dr. Gustad Daver, Medical Director and HOD General Surgery of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital was the organising chairperson of the workshop.
