Dr. Priyanka Tater is an Associate Consultant with the Neurosciences Department at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai.

Dr. Priyanka Tater is a graduate of the Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai. She pursued her super specialisation D.M. Neurology from Maulana Azad Medical College and Gobind Ballabh Pant (GB Pant) Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi and M.D. Internal Medicine from Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner. She has also worked in the Department of Neurology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.

Her field of interest includes Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, hyperkinetic movement disorders like tremor, chorea, dystonia, myoclonus, stereotypy, tics. She is skilled in the management of various headache disorders, epilepsy, stroke, autoimmune encephalitis, neuromuscular diseases, neuro-infections and dementia. She has vast experience in Botulinum toxin injection therapy for movement disorders and greater occipital nerve blocks (GON block) for chronic headache syndromes. She has received MDS Travel Grant Scholarship from the International Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society for her presentation on cervical dystonia.

She is a member of various Neurology societies like American Academy of Neurology, International Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society, Indian Academy of Neurology, Movement Disorders Society of India, Indian Epilepsy Society.

She has won gold medal and awards for her presentations at various conferences. She has been a meritorious achiever throughout her academic career. She has authored 7 publications and 5 conference poster abstracts.
