Dr Richa Mittal is Consultant at Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing her MBBS, she successfully attained MD in Pulmonary Medicine from the premier institute, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute in Delhi where she underwent dedicated training for allergic respiratory and airway disorders, pulmonary function tests, interstitial lung diseases and various other chest diseases. After completing her MD, she joined Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University as Senior Resident where besides clinical practice she was also involved in academic activities.
She did her DM at the reputed, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, where she had extensive training in interventions such as basic and advanced bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (linear & radial), pleuroscopy and ICU related procedures. She also underwent dedicated training for management of sleep disorders, critically ill medical and surgical patients, hands on training of thoracic ultrasound and echocardiography.
She has keen interest in academic research and has published till date, 12 papers in international and national peer-reviewed journals. She has received awards for her research work presented at specialty conferences.
She is a member of various respiratory societies such as European Respiratory Society (ERS), Indian Chest Society (ICS), National College of Chest Physicians (NCCP), European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EACCAI), International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), Indian Sleep Disorders Association (ISDA)
